Fantastic place - fabulous staff, and perfect location

viking9990 - Skagen, Denmark

The Wow factor when we stepped into our upgraded suite, with a balcony facing the charming garden, blew us away. It is obvious that the place just opened in July, as everything is fresh, clean - and even smells new. The decor is exquisite, and the bathroom is impressive. The breakfast is amazing, delicious and rich - certainly not to be missed. Via Margutta is one most charming "little" streets in Rome, and even though you are literally living in the heart…

Via Margutta is one most charming "little" streets in Rome, and even though you are literally living in the heart of the city, it is very quiet.
You are in easy walking distance to Piazza Popolo, The Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, Villa Borghese and the charming streetlife. The city is at your feet.

The entire staff deserves our praise - they are all wonderful, but we would like to particularly mention Nabila at the front desk, and Fabio in the restaurant, who are both an incredible asset to the hotel, and made our stay extra special.

Sure, Margutta 19 is certainly not one of the cheapest places in town, but it is definitely the perfect place if you want to spoil yourself.

We will return!

Beautiful boutique hotel on a quiet street in a great neighborhood

Via Margutta is a beautiful, quiet side street on the slope of the Villa Borghese gardens, and conveniently located steps away from Piazza di Spagna and the shops in the Via Condotti area. Margutta 19 is a beautiful new (as of July 2017) boutique hotel located in a fully-renovated building. Everything in the rooms and the common areas has been designed and built with taste and quality. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and luxurious and awash with the latest technology. Wood and marble are ever-present throughout the building. Everything was squeaky clean.  Our family got two suites overlooking the back garden, and we were delighted by the light, views and quiet. The bathrooms had two sinks, a bath and a separate shower. The rooms were extremely spacious, with a sofa, a large table and plenty of storage room.  Service was fantastic, especially the friendly and helpful team in the reception but also the waiting and cleaning staff. We felt very much at home in this little oasis in the bustle of Rome. We are looking forward to being back soon.

A piece of home in Rome.

The rooms were new. Clean and spacious. We did book a suite. Staff are so wonderful. Nabila and Valeria were so helpful. Nothing is impossible. Feels like home.

Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Rome

I stayed at Margutta 19 for one night at the beginning of July. The hotel had just opened. As soon as I entered I found it a wonderful respite from the heat outside. It's cool colors and clean design was a perfect welcome. I was greeted by a very friendly and knowledgable front desk. My room was large and beautifully decorated. It was comprised of a sitting area and bed. The bathroom is large with a nice soaking tub. Lovely Molten Brown amenities. The restaurant…

Attentive and professional staff. Perfect, quiet setting on one of the most beautiful streets in all of Rome. There is not a better location than Margutta 19. Walking distance to everything. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Rome, especially those with discerning taste.

New and excellent in every way

First time at this brand new boutique hotel, and the suite was elegant and modern. I know the word "boutique" equates to small, but the room was anything but. You walk in to a luxuriously appointed suite with wood floors, incredible finishes and the softest towels I have ever experienced in a hotel. The front desk staff that greeted me was enthusiastic and lovely and made me feel truly welcome and appreciated. There was champagne and a bottle of water chilling…

You walk in to a luxuriously appointed suite with wood floors, incredible finishes and the softest towels I have ever experienced in a hotel. The front desk staff that greeted me was enthusiastic and lovely and made me feel truly welcome and appreciated. There was champagne and a bottle of water chilling in the room, which was a very nice touch and much appreciated. The electronics and room controls are activated by touch and all worked perfectly. The tile work in the main room as well as the washroom was modern and elegant and the colors chosen were calming and uniform. They were able to create an environment that feels luxurious and modern, which isn't always an easy task. The furniture was super comfortable as was the softest low pile area rugs. There are so many choices in this amazing city, and Margutta 19 is perfect in every way. The icing on the cake is the incredible location between Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps so everything is within walking distance. I will definitely be back!!

Pampered by a luxury five-star experience

I visited this brand-new boutique hotel because I know and admire the architect who designed it, Nicola Gallizia. He has the skill to design spaces enjoyable to live on a human scale and guests feel like at home. Margutta 19 is a new luxury five-star hotel located in an exclusive building in the heart of Rome. He has the skill to design spaces enjoyable to live on a human scale and guests feel like at home. Margutta 19 is a new luxury five-star hotel located in an exclusive building in the heart of Rome. Via Margutta, known as the ‘artists’ street’ is one of the best locations to enjoy the city: a quiet cobbled street where lived director Federico Fellini and in the same place Gregory Peck enchanted Audrey Hepburn in the iconic movie "Vacanze romane". In this hotel you’ll be able to luxuriate in five-star comfort. There is a secret garden to enjoy breakfast away from the noise of the city. Try the hotel's restaurant "Assaggia" managed by Michelin star-chef Angelo Troiani: his menù format will allow you to taste all the specialties of typical Roman cuisine. Rooms are well-designed, comfortable and spacious. I love the design: warm, well-finished, posh. I highly recommend this boutique hotel and I look forward to come back

The most elegant, welcoming hotel, brand new and very sophisticated. This is an exceptional stay in Rome! The staff is professional, kind and so helpful to answer every request. This is a home away from home. The room is large and beautifully appointed, more than adequate closet space with large drawers and shelves for a short or long stay. Everything is included, lovely breakfast, wifi, coffee and tea makers, mini bar stocked with water, soda etc... Gorgeous…

The bathroom is perfect, large shower and the most beautiful and luxurious tub. Very sophisticated technology re: the lights, wifi and television. ROMA! Molto Bene!

Validai - India

I found a pearl in the center of Rome:) this hotel is located in the artist's street of Rome, a pinkish road with overgrown gardens, silent and reserved but so close to the hustle bustle of Rome's historic center. The room I stayed in gives onto a garden, the decor is stylish and cool; the restaurant, Assaggia, offers small dishes of raw fish - simply divine. A quiet place filled with peace and romance!
