Babuino 181, on the Via dei Babuino, near the Piazza del Popolo, is a more modern take on luxury, with elegantly decorated rooms that invoke a stylized version of Rome’s Art Deco period between the wars.
The hotel is in the heart of the shopping Mecca, and steps from Canova, the favorite cafe-cum-office of Federico Fellini. If you want breakfast in your room, the bellman goes to Canvoa, picks it up for you, and then serves it to you in bed. A surreal but very Roman touch.
